DataLink Ethernet TCP/IP to DH+

The DataLink DL4500-EDH+ is a gateway between an Ethernet TCP/IP Network and AB’s DH+ Network. This cost-efficient solution extends the life of legacy Allen-Bradley PLC5 and SLC 5/04s by eliminating the need to upgrade each PLC with an Ethernet processor.

The DataLink DL4500 Controller enables users to run MMI applications or program/monitor PLCs & SLCs on a DH+ Network from an Ethernet LAN station. Tested applications include RSLinx, RSLogix, RSView, Wonderware, & Citect.

The DL4500-EDH+ combines the Lantronix Ethernet Microprocessor with DataLink's DH+ token-ring technology.

The DL4500-EDH+ available in two different models: the DL4500-EDH+ DF1-MultiMaster and the DL4500-EDH+ Standard Tunnel. The DL4500-EDH+ DF1-MultiMaster allows up to 4 computers to connect simultaneously to the ethernet side of the DL4500. This model has slower data exchange speeds because of its ability to connect to multiple computers. If speed is an issue, consider the DL4500-EDH+ Standard Tunnel model. The DL4500-EDH+ Standard Tunnel allows only 1 computer to connect to the ethernet side of the DL4500 but exchanges data at faster speeds.
