The DataLink DL2000-KFX
contains two serial protocols and is software configurable for either standard
DF1 or bridging modes. Standard DF1 mode is
used to provide a serial interface to DH+ and is suitable as an alternative
to Allen-Bradley's serial interfaces to DH+, like the A-B 1770-KF2. Bridging
mode is designed to enable the DL2000-KFX to be used in pairs to bridge
local and remote DH+ networks.![]() The bridging serial protocol can be used for DH+ to DH+ network bridging and for DH+ network band width expansion. This unit is capable of point-to-point or mulit-drop communications between local and remote DH+ networks. DataLinks are typically used in pairs to enable communications between multiple contiguous stations on separate DH+ networks. The -KFX accepts local DH+ message commands addressed to any DH+ sation within a configurable address range and passes them on to a -KFX on a separate DH+. Bandwidth Expansion: Doubles the bandwidth of a single busy DH+ by splitting it into two. Flexible Serial Interfacing: RS232C and RS422/RS485 Easy Configuration: All parameters are menu-driven Increased Throughput: Serial communications at up to 57.6 Kbaud Specifications: |
